The Pixel Buds Pro have a weaker ANC by comparison but the Transparency mode sounds very natural. The Buds Pro are good but definitely not best in class for things like ANC, sound quality and transparency mode. Buds have made skip any future product launches. ANC and Transparency Mode ANC wise - my initial thoughts is that its on the level of the linkbuds, better than the galaxy buds pro but not at the level of the XM4s, that may change with foam ear tips. You'll miss certain integration features but should still get a mostly great experience with the Airpods. For me, transparency functions well enough, but I do have Sony Link buds S when more transparency is needed. It appears that the elongated body of the Pixel Buds Pro (PBP) serves the function that the wing tip did on older generations of pixel buds.
